Optional Services
In addition to the Baseline Skills Assessment, we offer the following
add-on services:
Architecture Review
Taos has developed several methods that are targeted for individuals
at the highest technical level. These individuals typically have
the title and/or role of engineer or architect. In an Architecture
Review we challenge participants to develop designs that answer
specific business-related problems. The scenarios are designed
in collaboration with client managers to test the most relevant
skill areas, and to potentially provide a preview for how their
engineers might address an upcoming business need.
In an Architecture Review, the engineering participant creates
design documents and writing samples. The participant is then evaluated
for ability to demonstrate experience and success in their current
technical role, proficiency with common design tools, and a clear
and professional writing style.
Individualized Learning Plan
Taos Learning Plans are organized by skill areas and are prioritized
based on the criticality of need and the severity of skills (to
business need) gap. A Taos Baseline Skills Assessment is a prerequisite
for developing the Individualized Learning Plan.
Group Analysis
The Group Analysis provides recommendations for higher effectiveness
and efficiency of the group as a whole through analysis of the
aggregate individual results. This assessment is conducted within
the context of both current and future group business needs. The
Group Analysis provides managers an inventory of specific technical
skills and harder-to-quantify soft skills. The results can be leveraged
to set direction for skills acquisition and/or skills development
within a group. Taos Baseline Skills Assessments for each individual
in the group are prerequisite to the Group Analysis.
Global Analysis
The Global Analysis provides recommendations for higher effectiveness
and efficiency of the larger organization through analysis of the
aggregate individual and group results. Taos will review all individual
reports to identify global skill gaps and strengths within the organization
as a whole against current and future expectations of individuals
and teams. A Global Analysis also draws upon the results of the Group
Analyses to provide an overall view of the set of groups or organization
under review. This report includes recommendations in the areas of
Training Planning and Organization Structure (Staff Allocation and
Staffing Levels). Taos Baseline Skills Assessments, and Group Analyses
are prerequisite to the Global Analysis.
