Jeff Lucchesi - Executive IT Management Consultant

With over 30 years of experience in IT, Jeff Lucchesi is a proven and successful technology leader and trusted advisor. He is a valued business partner with a track record of achieving results in positions of business critical responsibility.

Jeff possesses an impressive background of holding significant IT leadership positions. Currently, Jeff provides IT leadership and management consulting services through Taos. His specialty within the Office of the CIO practice is to investigate and make key recommendations in regard to the people, the processes and the technology that make up an IT organization. Through these engagements, Jeff has helped IT organizations throughout the Bay Area identify their problem areas and realize solutions, resulting in IT transformation in preparation for IPO, acquisition, globalization, etc. In addition to his work at Taos, Jeff is also the current CIO at BMHC, a public holding company which provides capital, management and administrative resources to its subsidiaries. As the SVP of Global Operations at Corio, Jeff was responsible for directing an organization of 180+ staff in the U.S. and India and supporting over 100 clients using enterprise ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Peoplesoft and B to B apps). In this role, Jeff was accountable for both technical and functional areas of the applications, along with infrastructure components. It was at DHL, however, that Jeff first took on the role of CIO. His path was similar to that of many IT leaders in the Bay Area. Jeff was hired to DHL as the Director of Network Services, was promoted into the role of VP of Operations, was promoted into the role of VP of Applications, and, finally, was promoted to the role of CIO. During his 5 year tenure, Jeff managed everything from data centers to architecture to the development of DHL's Track and Trace system.

A former client of Taos, Jeff joined Taos in December 2009 and is currently an Executive Management Consultant for the Office of the CIO practice.

Kathy Burkle - Executive IT Management Consultant

Kathy is a seasoned IT executive with over 30 years of experience in transformational leadership, IT strategy, operations and governance. She brings extensive experience successfully managing and delivering in large, complex, international environments and possesses a unique blend of IT leadership and M&A (IT) expertise. Kathy has proven success in leading IT organizations, in close cooperation with executive business leaders, through significant process re-engineering and ERP implementations designed to support and enable the business strategy.

Kathy began her career at Philips Electronics where she rose through the ranks to reach senior roles such as Vice President of Corporate IT in the Mergers & Acquisitions office, Vice President of Enterprise Technical Infrastructure and Senior Director of IT. While holding the role of Senior Director, Kathy provided operational and strategic IT leadership for Philips Lighting North America, a $1B lighting business, and was responsible for a budget of $40M and a staff of 75. In her roles as Vice President, she managed IT for 20 + divestments with a value of more than 800M Euro and developed the Corporate IT M&A Program that infused IT expertise and leadership into the M&A process. This initiative resulted in an estimated savings of $2M to $3M euro within one year. Later in her career, Kathy transitioned as a Principal to M&AD IT Consulting where she contributed business consulting to a $30 billion international firm on transitional services contracts in support of the divestment of a manufacturing unit. Kathy also served as a Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers and worked with senior executives to help achieve improved IT performance by managing IT soundly and rigorously as a business.

Kathy joined Taos in April 2008, and is currently an Executive Management Consultant for the Office of the CIO practice. Her views and experiences for leadership in IT have been published in Beyond Computing, Enterprise Systems and CIO Decisions. Kathy has a number of meaningful alliances and affiliations with IT and leadership groups including Executive Coach and Facilitator for The Center for Leadership Excellence, and was a founding member of the CIO Think Tank Alliance. Kathy holds a Bachelor of Science in education from West Virginia University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Rich Hillebrecht - Executive IT Management Consultant

Rich Hillebrecht has 25+ years in IT leadership roles in both direct management and consulting services. Rich has demonstrated excellent leadership skills and management capability working in diverse environments. He has a proven track record of success in driving information technology programs, delivering IT services, deploying process frameworks and developing leaders and teams to improve organizational capability. With extensive experience in established global and startup company environments, Rich has worked with a diverse set of internal and partner organizations. Rich is very familiar with delivering IT as a service, having had responsibility to deliver end to end services for internal and external customers in both G&A and P&L roles.

Rich began his career in IT management as the Senior Director of Information Technology for Apple Computer where his depth of responsibilities included Internet/Intranet services, enterprise data center, internal user and application support. Rich has also served as the VP of Application Services for Corio, Inc. where he was responsible for application hosting services for an early entrant, pure play Application Service Provider (ASP). He has been the VP-Business Unit Manager for Rational Software and the Director of CIO Client Services managing internal customer engagements and the workforce support organization. Prior to joining Taos, Rich served as Vice President of Information Technology Infrastructure for Electronic Arts supporting EA's organizations in North America, Europe and Pacific regions. One of the accomplishments from his various roles includes creating and leading a Client Executive program for a $3 billion software company that drove the proactive relationship between IT and Business Units and led them to integrate IT planning, program initiation, service delivery and support. Rich has also developed a CIO service delivery framework in support of an "IT the Business" strategy - driving the definition of IT services, service creation, service improvement and service level management processes.

Rich joined Taos in the spring of 2007 and is currently an Executive IT Management Consultant for the Office of the CIO practice. Since joining Taos, Rich has been engaged with Adobe as an interim IT leader managing DR and data center initiatives. Rich holds a Bachelors Degree from Iona College in New Rochelle, NY.

Timothy Campos - Executive IT Management Consultant

Timothy Campos is an Executive IT Management Consultant who joined Taos’ Office of the CIO in January 2010. A business oriented leader, Tim’s emphasis is in enterprise systems and application hosting services. With over 18 years of industry experience in both Software Engineering and Information Technology, Tim has a unique understanding of the challenges in both developing and applying Information Technology.

At Taos, Tim developed a service offering designed to help save Taos customers money by optimizing their supplier spend through strategic negotiation and contract management. Tim is also revamping Taos’ Enterprise Architecture Consulting Practice to help customers improve their agility and optimize TCO.

Before joining Taos, Tim most recently served as the CIO and Vice President of Information Technology at KLA-Tencor. He restructured IT to improve the alignment with business operations while increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of IT. Under Tim’s direction, KLA-Tencor completed global implementations of SAP R/3, SAP CRM, MatrixOne, and PeopleSoft, as well as several infrastructure initiatives such as VOIP and server virtualization. Through the implementation of these services, Tim was able to optimize IT spending by over 30%. Prior to KLA-Tencor, Tim worked at Portera Systems, an internet start-up, where he was responsible for engineering and hosting architecture. In addition to developing Portera’s Issue Tracking application service, Tim helped to expand Portera’s customer base to Europe and Asia through technical innovations. This enabled Portera to globally serve its Software as a Service based application. Tim has also held software engineering roles at Silicon Graphics and Sybase.

Tim holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley. He is on the board of directors for the Fisher IT Center at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and is on the advisory board for several Silicon Valley start-ups.
