Taos Recognized in Gartner’s 2021 Magic Quadrant for Public Cloud IT Transformation Services
By Gopal Bhat SVP Product and International Strategy
At Taos, our mission is to help customers in their Cloud and DevOps Transformation. To be the leader in this journey for our customers, we have a relentless focus on innovation and obsession on customer satisfaction.
It gives me great pleasure to announce that Taos has been recognized by Gartner® in the 2021 Magic Quadrant™ for Public Cloud IT Transformation Services1. As you may recall we were also positioned by Gartner in the 2020 Magic Quadrant™ for Public Cloud Infrastructure Professional and Managed Services2.
Personally, this recognition is significant to me for two reasons:
- This comes during an extraordinarily transformative time for our customers as well as within Taos. The global pandemic has increased the adoption of cloud-based solutions. This resulted in Taos’ cloud migration and DevOps expertise proving vital to the survival and success of our customers.
- The 2021 Magic Quadrant™ for Public Cloud IT Transformation Services uses an evaluation criteria that focuses on the ability to deliver transformational outcomes in the Public Cloud. With specific evaluation criteria on revenue generated from Cloud services and specifically Cloud transformational services, we believe being positioned in this Magic Quadrant™ is truly a measure of the transformational impact Taos has had in customers’ environments.
I want to underscore two areas on this accomplishment by Taos and our customers:
- Relentless focus on innovation – As the hockey legend Wayne Gretzky famously said, “I skate to where the puck is going to be, not to where it has been,” at Taos we take that to heart to help bring in leading technology to our customers’ environment. We differentiate ourselves by delivering specialized transformative engagements and supporting clients via our structured and trademarked methodology. As an IBM company, we help customers transform to multi-cloud environments by working with our cloud service providers, including Amazon Web Services (MSP Partner with DevOps competency),Google Cloud (Premier MSP), and Microsoft Azure (MSP) and tools of their choice.
- Obsession on Customer Satisfaction – This is truly our North Star. We are not successful if our clients are not. We help our customers accelerate cloud adoption and leverage client-led technology councils to drive innovation in cloud-native tools and offerings. Our focus on automation provides clients with flexible tools to meet specific growth requirements. Our customers are not successful without us having incredible talent to support them. We hire industry-leading talent using Taos’ trademarked Technical Interview (TIV™) framework, which enables us to objectively measure the depth of technical capabilities and map these skills to projects.
Earlier this year, IBM acquired our company, and we continue to operate as an independent organization. We continue to work closely and strengthen our partnerships with the major cloud providers Amazon Web Services (MSP Partner with DevOps Competency), Google Cloud (Premier MSP), and Microsoft Azure (MSP). With the added IBM support and the Gartner recognition, we are more prepared than ever for meeting heightened customer expectations for highly competent, specialized technical experts with deep domain knowledge to take on the most challenging Cloud and DevOps transformation projects.
