The Taos patching team is continuously researching and studying the latest threats and created a brief report that provides knowledge and expertise on how clients should best respond to the new revelations found in the threats now known as Spectre and Meltdown.
Spectre and Meltdown are tricky to tackle. Most vulnerabilities take the form of a software bug that inherently provides a software fix. With a hardware vulnerability, software can lessen parts of the problem, but will never fully resolve the issue. Teams must be vigilant in tracking new exploits built around this threat and installing newly released software patches as soon as possible.
